Rothesay Bay

Rothesay Bay is an affluent, small residential suburb on Auckland's North Shore, more or less in the center of the coastal area known as East Coast Bays which offers splendid views overlooking the Hauraki Gulf from Rangitoto Island to the south, the Coromandel, Tiritiri Island, Great Barrier Island up to Whangaparoa peninsular to the north.

This bay enjoys a beautiful sandy beach and grassy reserve surrounded with shady native Pohutukawa trees which is a popular family picnic spot. The residential housing is spread over the gentle hills surrounding the beach and park. Along the coastline clifftops, public walkways offer stunning elevated views of the surrounds.

There is a small retail area on the ridge above the bay which is mainly comprised of cafes and eateries including Indian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, English and South African. A significant apartment development is currently under construction at this location.

This property lies in the zones of the much sought after Rangitoto College, Browns Bay Primary to the north and Murrays Bay Intermediate to the south. There is good availability of Public transport per Auckland busses and good motorway access. The nearest serious retail centre is the adjacent suburb to the north in Browns Bay. The major shopping malls in Albany are approximately a 10 minute drive away.
